Since 2004, Kirby Construction Group has been quietly establishing a reputation that precedes us, a client base that enthusiastically endorses us, and a portfolio that speaks for itself. Our core commitment is to excellence in our work, and a necessary byproduct of that is that we don’t accept every project that’s proposed to us, nor do we work with every client who approaches us. The projects we do take on, then, get all the attention they deserve and benefit from our longstanding relationships with trusted vendors and top-notch subcontractors. We don’t cut corners; we don’t let things slip through the cracks. Details make a difference, and we get them right.
There’s no shortage of contractors in the Sandhills. We’re a little different from most. For one thing, we’re longtime locals, rooted and invested in this community, committed to its continued wellbeing, and proud of our role in sustaining its appeal. For another, we’re small by design, because being intentional about the projects we take on ensures each one gets the attention it deserves. Matt Kirby
… earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering with a minor in business management at North Carolina State University. A Pinehurst native, he returned to his hometown in 2004 to establish Kirby Construction, where he oversees the company’s business operations and finances. He and his wife, Jennifer, live with their three children in Pinehurst. Matthew enjoys sports, reading, and being involved with his community, his church and his children’s school.
Jacob Kirby
… earned his bachelor of science in business management at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He has held an unlimited contractor’s license since establishing Kirby Construction in 2004 and has earned multiple certifications, including the Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders. A Pinehurst native, he and his wife, Carrie, live with their two children in Pinehurst. Jacob enjoys competing in triathlons, and all things fitness-related.
Carrie Kirby
… studied communications and public relations at North Carolina State University and has been a licensed Realtor/broker since 2006, serving as broker in charge for Kirby Real Estate since 2010. A Pinehurst native, she and her husband, Jacob, live with their two children in Pinehurst. Carrie enjoys running, and all things fitness; books; and spending time outdoors.
